Awwww.... SNAP! The Society of Northern Alberta Printmakers (SNAP) has offered me a solo exhibition in early 2014. My rapidly approaching Sabbatical is not going to be the one-year vacation that my parents think it will be.

The Synthetic Age at the MacKenzie Art Gallery opens on December 8. The Opening Reception is January 18, 2013.
October 2012
Off to old Milwaukee for the mid-year meeting of the Executive Board of Southern Graphics. My airport bus will let me off near the Pabst Theatre, just a stone's throw from Schlitz Park.
September/October 2012
Fafard Boundary Gallery launches its inaugural exhibition at 631 College Avenue, with an exhibition by Joe Fafard, followed by an exciting group show entitled "Everything in Between" in mid-October. Opening reception is Thursday October 18, from 5-8pm.

I'm a "Featured Alumnus" on the Queen's University BFA Website. The sickeningly-sweet two-way love fest between my Dear Alma Mater and I continues! See it here.
Workshop for the Connaught Festival, celebrating 100 years of École Connaught Community School, in Regina's Cathedral Neighbourhood. I will be putting on a little silkscreen razzle-dazzle on Saturday September 29, from 4:30-5:30 pm at Connaught, 2124 Elphinstone St.

A new edition of small(ish) prints is off to PrintZero Studios, Chicago.

Shortlisted! My recent print Run has been shortlisted for the 2012 National Printmaking Awards, organized by Open Studio in Toronto. The awards will be handed out at 100 Prints at the Palais Royale in Toronto, on May 17. The Saskatchewan Arts Board has generously provided travel funding so that I can attend the event.
Promotion to Associate Professor! Word from Dean Sheila Petty arrived by confidential memorandum on May 2, 2012.

Grace Kathleen Truszkowski was born on April 3, 2012. She was kind enough to wait for me to return from my trip to BC, where I opened Penance at the VPAG, and attended the opening for the 2012 Okanagan Print Triennial.

Artist talk and studio visits at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan, March 30, 2012.
Penance opened at the Vernon Public Art Gallery on March 29, 2012. This exhibition was the culmination of more than 2 years of work, initiated by my winning the 2009 Okanagan Print Triennial.
Tenure! The official letter from University of Regina President Vianne Timmons came on March 26, 2012.
